Should I seed or sod your lawn?
My wife and I recently purchased our new home first. The house is newly built and one of our first challenges was figuring out what to do with our lawn sterile. Grass was the obvious answer, but the more difficult question is whether the grass seeds or grass?
The earth is the easy option. Flatten the ground, lay it down and I have instant grass looks great. The major disadvantage is that grass is expensive, and some say they do not look as good as grass seeded in the end. This is the option that most of my neighbors chose.
The choice difficult and laborious to sow the grass. The main advantages are seeding a lawn that has a much cheaper initial costs, and many people say the grass seeded with the time will be better than a lawn breaded. This is the option we chose.
I regretted the decision almost immediately. It was unknown to me that a grass seed would be more work, but I had no idea what would be more work. Each week I worked in the yard, working hard on the grass to look around and see a weed-filled mess in the middle of all irregular beauty of my neighbor is watching, breaded grass sitting there abandoned.
Therefore, when you have to make the choice between a seed and lawn breaded, you really need to ask yourself if you're willing to put in the work and time to make a lawn planted well. It has now been a year and the grass seed is just starting to look presentable, but still nowhere near as good breaded like grass nearby, even with all the extra work put into it. If you are looking for the quick and dirty option, certainly in regard to the lawn.
