Lawn Raker and Lawn Scarifier- What’s the difference?
I have a very mossy lawn that needs some major raking work. I am looking to buy an electric lawn rake or scarifier. The rake has thin tynes whereas the scarifier has steel blades. Which one would be most suitable?
A rake brushes across the surface – to take leaves off for example. A scarifier actually pushes down into the grass – perforating it across the top- to let in air – it is supposed to encourage growth. If you have a mossy lawn, I think a scarifier would be better.
